Safety against breakages in pipes according to Boldrin With a minimal investment, we have managed to significantly increase the level of safety of the gas system. In particular, with the REF series devices, a safety device against excess flow that occurs in the event of pipe breakages, failure to connect utilities, earthquakes, or voluntary tampering. Therefore, following a sudden release of gas from the system and the consequent increase in flow, the device intervenes automatically, blocking the flow of gas. After restoring normal operating conditions, the device automatically rearms. The REF is a safety device that is integrated into the shut-off valves and meter valves, limiting the overall dimensions to a minimum and increasing the functionality of the shut-off valve itself, which thus becomes a passive protection device for the system. The REF device instantly blocks the flow of gas in the pipeline whenever the flow rate value is accidentally exceeded. The device has been designed to be installed in both horizontal and vertical positions. The REF device is available both as a single fitting and as a component integrated into the valves (only on request)
